Happiness Abounds ”Case” from the Catalog by Kathleen Rosenfield May 2022
This Happiness Abounds card idea is from the front cover of the new 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up Catalog! When we do this, it’s called a “Case”which means copy and share everything but put your own twist on it too! Also, it’s important to share wherever or whoever we got the idea from. In this “case,” it’s from the new catalog.
My twist on this Happiness Abounds card:
- Black cardstock layer adhered to front of cardbase.
- Horizontal strip of designer series paper (reverse side of this double sided designer series paper).
- Angled ”notebook paper” layer.
- Used double oval punch for the sentiment and moved sentiment to the top of the card.
My favorite things about this creation:
- Love the way the white cardstock looks like a piece of paper ripped out of a notebook. This is accomplished by using one of the dies from the bundle. Very quick and easy.
- This designer series paper is of course beautiful and the die cuts from the bundle can cut out the flowers on this paper! This is a time saver and also a blessing for some peeps who aren’t too fond of coloring!
To sum up:
I couldn’t believe it when I heard about “Casing” as it seemed like cheating!! However, it is fantastic when you’re just starting out and stumped for design ideas. Just put your own spin on it and give credit where credit is due and you’re good to go.
