Nativity Shaker Card by Kathleen Rosenfield, October 2022

A handmade Nativity Shaker Card.

Easy Shaker Card How To:

  1. Cut out the front.

  2. Adhere the window sheet.

  3. Place foam adhesive sheets.

  4. Add the sequins.

  5. Secure the back.

Now, I will elaborate a bit:

Cutting out the front means creating a window using a die cut on your card front. Place die cut on card front and run it through your embossing machine. For this card, I used a rectangle die to cut my window.

Line the back of the window cutout with adhesive. Cut the window sheet cut 1/2 inch bigger than the window all around. Adhere to the back of the window.

Now add the foam adhesive strips which are sticky on both sides. Place around the entire border of the back of the window making sure there aren’t any gaps.

Add your bling.

Line up the card base or designer series paper on top of the window assembly and adhere both pieces together. If using designer series paper first, as I did in the card above, adhere this to the cardbase using adhesive.

Specific Items Needed For Shaker Cards:

Choose any die cuts or sequins of your choice of course. These are just the products I used for this card.
