Finding Comfort in Words: The Power of Pet Loss Sympathy Cards by Kathleen Rosenfield, July 2023
Pet sympathy cards are a powerful way to comfort someone who has lost a beloved pet. These condolences remind us of the profound bond between humans and their pets. In this social media age, where words often get lost, the significance of a handmade pet sympathy card cannot be overstated.
Read how to easily create these cards to show your care and support during a difficult time.
My Tips for Making Pet Sympathy Cards:
Use any dog, cat or other animal stamp that you need for this, or come to class and use mine! LOL. I used a circle punch for the white paper and then stamped my image on it.
Color coordinate your papers, your background paper and the paper to mount your stamped image on. Mounting your stamped image on a piece of card stock such as the Melon Mambo doily above will give the card some layering. I like to use rainbows or rainbow colors for the background paper, nothing gloomy. The color coordination and the layering will make your card look more professional.
Choose a sympathy sentiment, doesn’t have to be pet specific, as mine above is not. This one can be used for all types of sympathy cards.
Recipients will cherish these memory cards and appreciate the time you took to care.
