Simple Cards Using Embossing Folders by Kathleen Rosenfield August 2022
Have you ever heard that the quickest, least costly way to change the look of a room is to paint it? Well, I often think of that when I ’finish’ making a card. That is to say, what can I do to it now without doing too much? Embossing folders, quick and not expensive, will do the trick!
Embossing Folders into Action
As you can see from the photo above, these cards are pretty simple. However, the ’icing on the cake’ comes from the embossing folders. Most importantly, is the interest the embossing folders add to to each image.
Meanwhile, use any stamp sets, inks and papers you have on hand. I used the Lovely & Lasting stamp set, some ’in color’ inks and Lovely Linen paper along with Silver & Gold specialty paper. You can check out the items I used in the Product List below.
Create your card and after that, break out your favorite embossing folder. The three embossing folders I chose are from the new Annual Catalog: Quatrefoil embossing folder, Timeworn Type embossing folder and Painted Texture embossing folder.

In conclusion, I think you’ll enjoy having one or two embossing folders in your stash. As a result, you can dramatically change the look of your card. They are great to have on hand for that finishing touch. That is to say, with a quick run through your embossing machine and very little stamping, you will have a beautiful card that you will want to keep for a special someone.
